Beautiful views and very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the rocks and watching the waves. There's not a lot to do here, but it would be the perfect stop for a picnic and restroom break. You can walk in the protected water area, but it doesn't look great for swimming.
A nice hidden find. We stopped here for a picnic lunch on a drive up from Kona. A few picnic tables, plus a pavilion that sits atop a small hill. Gorgeous views from all around. There is a small protected cove if you want to get in the water. We saw some people snorkeling while we were there. There are restrooms at the nearby civic center a short walk across the park.
I loved this spontaneous stop. Quiet in the mornings with a great view, a small beach area, and even a public restroom.
A small but beautiful park located on the northern shore of Hawaii's Big Island. The park features a pavilion that sits atop a small mount, providing visitors with a spectacular view of the ocean.
The park also has a community center located nearby, which provides restrooms and a roofed space with plenty of seating. This space is perfect for hosting a big party or event.
There’s a great little bay perfect for children to swim and play in without having to worry about them being swept away by the waves. I see people surf and boogie board here, the big waves make it a good spot. It’s a great view and is always so gorgeous.
Beautiful spot. Good lagoon like pool made by a break might be sketchy in winter.
Great spot at high tide with a section protected by a rock wall. Great views, some covered picnic areas with shade, decent restrooms.
If you want a quieter beach experience then check out this park on the North Shore. The man made break wall in the park creates a calm pool that kids can wade into. Otherwise the sometimes heavy surf must be respected and caution used when entering the ocean to avoid rock cropping along the park’s shoreline.
